Southwestern Arch
Arches National Park
The Southwestern Area is comprised of the land south of Upper Courthouse Wash, west of Lower Courthouse Wash, and east and north of US Highway 191. The southern most region of this area is where the Park's entrance and the Visitor Center are located.
Although there are few large or impressive arches here, many of the arches have unusual shapes and positions. The largest arch in the Southwestern Area is Split Bottom Arch with a light opening of 32 feet.
