Courthouse Wash actually begins outside the park boundary, on the west side of US Highway 191. Once on the east side of the highway, Upper Courthouse Wash continues southeasterly before converging with Sevenmile Canyon and widening out as it nears the main park road.
The largest arch in this area is West Boundary Arch with an opening of 52 feet.
